POEMS ETC FROM THE SUMMER RETREAT, June 2009

Knowing

Listen to the loudness of the silence,

Look at all the movement of the still,

Feel all the textures of nothing,

Touch everything you cannot see, move or feel.

We do not need our eyes to see with or,

Ears to hear all of the sound,

Just open your heart and be grateful,

Be the love that’s within, and all around.

The beauty of nature is you,

Pure love, pure bliss, so divine,

Mother earth reveals her wonderful secrets,

With colours so vibrant and bright.

Just ask, move aside and it’s given,

Source is waiting to reveal all its hidden delights,

Oh what fun, oh what joy are our adventures,

Like a child in their dreams late at night.

What a passionate realization,

When you know you have all the answers within,

So, relax, laugh a lot and enjoy life,

Leap forward, not back where you’ve been!

Transformation

Crow , black, caw and clack

way up on your jagged stack.

Stumble, fumble,

tumble, lurch.

Clutch on to your lofty perch.

How ungainly there you seem,

raucous in your tuneless scream.

But oh what metamorphosis is there

when you launch into the air …

Turning, diving,

Hovering, gliding ...

How your weightless body sighs

in every graceful swoop and rise,

celebrating with delight

the joyous freedom of your flight.

CASTLERIGG 28TH JUNE 2009 -

INFORMATION FROM LARGEST STANDING STONE

I visited Castlerigg for the first time, it was about 6 in the evening just after a heavy burst of rain.  I was struck by the beauty and tranquillity of the place, it was really special, such a peaceful and timeless setting.  I was immediately drawn to the largest standing stone and leant against it looking at the hills.  The feeling of total stability, peace and contentment coming from the stone was wonderful and I asked it if it had anything it could tell me.

Below is what the stone said:

“I have been standing here for 5,026 years. Isn’t it beautiful.

I am here to hold steady the earth energies so that they can connect strongly to the higher energies.

For these higher energies to come down to earth, there must exist a very special and stable matrix.

We were put here to protect and strengthen the very special energy of this place.

Miracles can happen here.

If you sit in the circle it will help you to release the dark side and help you to bring in more light from the higher realms which will transform your lightbody and help raise your consciousness.

May the source always be with you.”

Disowned Self

I am hidden.  I’m scared.

I am suffocated.

I can’t breathe.

I can’t live.

Let me in

Disowned Self

I want to breathe

I want to live

I want to love

Let me in

I want to sing to the beat of my heart

And dance to the pulse of my soul

Let me in

Let my love be known

Let my love be expressed

Fully - in all its forms, in all its dimensions.

Let me in

For I am Love

BUSY

Have you ever stopped to notice what is all around you?

Or are you too busy?

Too busy to see the blueness of the sky?

Too busy to see the greenness of the landscape?

Too busy to watch and listen to nature's essence?

To see the startled deer;

The bunny rabbit darting across the road;

The grasshopper floating on the lake.

What a shame that you are too busy today!

Sitting on a Bench, above Grasmere.

Dear wooden bench

I feel so much grief that you were once living

Sap running through your limbs,

Deeply connected to earth and sky.

What can you tell me about the nature of life and death?

I am steady, strong and warm,

Content to serve.

My roots still deeply connected

to the earth, the sky all around.

Aeons pass changes happen

Moment by moment.

The deep vast stillness remains.

O crow in the sunlight

What can you tell me about the nature of life and death?

Feel the air under your wings

Look sharp and quick,

Feast and caw.

Coal black with bright eyes

I flap effortlessly to the top of the mountain!

O foxgloves in the ferns,

Sudden darts of purple spiking above the green,

What can you tell me about the nature of life and death?

Glow with your own true colours

And grow tall under the sun.

As the shadows lengthen,

Drop petals to the ground.

Like ashes,

Like confetti.

Return to earth.

Next year look for the unfurling.

Tender green shoots pushing up from the dark.

We are always reborn.
